And the numRecompilesBeforeAppRestart attribute setting to 50 or whatever just delays the application crashing. I've tried deleting the weird file itself, as well as its containing folder, and ITS containing folder, all the way up the path to the temp folder under Temporary ASP.NET Files. Also I got this weird error message sometimes when my computer was having some free time and thought it's time to play a joke on me. Then I just have added such attribute to web.config compilation node: I hope that this can help and other people. Sorry, not really a solution as much as a crappy bandaid that will only work in certain situations. http://[email protected] Mohamed ELMesseiry i had the same problem and the solution is to upload the files again then restart iis on the server. And it happens less often when your application restarts less often (the 50 times). I don't know if this will be of any value whatsoever, but I just thought I'd share since it was really weird.
