Last time I made an iTunes purchase a few months ago, everything was fine. So you have tons of users who have spent hundreds and thousands of dollars with Apple all of a sudden not able to spend any more. Log in to Reply Peter September 30, 2016 at 2:01 pm Yup same here. the security code was entered correctly the first time, so it seems as though that error message appears for various other errors. The problem seems to be sporadic, which is probably why there is no official response on Apple’s forums. Once I did this, it worked.
