by Andy Scut » Thu, 14 Jun 2001 18:21:09 I'm guessing you are running an Abit as they are notorious for this. Did you try both ndiswrapper+windows drivers and b43xx? Here is a link to some options on how to make it permanent: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx/Feisty_No-Fluff#head-a9c75e76532933266fabeef1b1aa742f3df4444c I prefer version 0.3, but the other should work also. Let me know how you go and I'll see if I can help any further.

  • fishyfApril 26th, 2008, 04:58 PMI don't know why you weren't asked for new firmware, but the point is moot.
  • Any assistance on this error would be greatly appreciated, why it comes, what it means, how to troubleshoot it (without just passing noapic to the kernel).

cannot proceed further. by Anthony Ewel » Thu, 14 Jun 2001 10:27:08 Hi Jim, Is there a way to tell lilo (lilo.conf) to do this automatically? replace "[name of your network]" with "Home" (without the quotes) if that's what your network is called. Then go to your nm-applet and select the network of your choice and configure it.
