An Unrecoverable Device Error Occurred Error While Encoding Movie

I have to burn it to a folder (instead of an ISO) because the ISO file will exceed 8.5GB. I have cleared the Proxy Files. In the Select Media File dialog box, choose your video, and then click Open. I waited 15 minutes, still couldn't get it to eject then just turned my computer off. Do you think upgrading to the next version of Roxio that is out there will help? Look for it; you will find it. Once the rendering would complete successfully to the folder, I would use DVD Shrink to compress it then I could burn it on a DL DVD.

Note: While most new DVD players support most types of writeable DVDs, some older DVD players can have problems playing custom DVDs. The production plays just fine when I watch it in its entirety in both VideoWave and within MyDVD; however, it keeps failing with the following error message: An unrecoverable device error I have tried rendering in Software Mode. I-7 third generation @2.4, 8G RAM, 500G SSD, GTX660M, SoundBlaster 3Di, Laptop - Windows 10 Dell 13 inch convertible.
