Whenever the machine hosting the webservice is rebooted, the IIS machine starts throwing this error. i want to try to set keepalive to false. What kind of problem you are talking abt? And then it magically works again.So, possibly there is some connection to the database that is stuck open that is closed when the database is deleted. Essentially requests are made by opening a connection, making a number of them then closing it. I am getting the same error but in my case it seems to follow a pattern.

Overriding WebRequest GetWebRequest(Uri uri) does not solve my problem.

In this occurance, the connection times out but is not recognized as closed and thus a new connection is not established for the next request and an error is returned.
